Ruth was unable to pay for the medication she required and was forced to file for bankruptcy which led to Ruth losing her home. Ruth and the Patients for Affordable Drugs Now are encouraging viewers to voice their support to their state represenatives on passing the International Pricing Index to potentially lower the price of drugs and other medications.
