Capital One TV Commercial, 'Bowl Mania: Oranges' Feat. Samuel L. Jackson

Published In Business & Legal

Just outside Sun Life Stadium, Hall of Fame basketball player Charles Barkley arrives back to his tailgate location with a crate full of fruit. He talks to actor Samuel L. Jackson and director Spike Lee about needing oranges at the Capital One Orange Bowl. When Charles reaches for an orange, Jackson corrects Barkley and tells him that he's holding a clementine. Charles, a bit confused asks if the clementine is a baby orange, only to get denied again. Charles holds up another orange, only for Spike to tell him he's holding a tangerine. Charles picks up another large orange, only for Jackson to correct him the third time by telling him he's holding a grapefruit. Barkley, realizing he didn't pick up a single orange remains quiet when Jackson jokingly asks him if he knows that pineapples don't look like apples. Charles tosses the grapefruit in the air and tells himself that it looks like an orange.
