The character Lena from ABC's "Splitting Up Together" talks on the phone while browsing JCPenney. She tells Martin that Mother's Day means he has to do the dishes not the mother. Meanwhile, the character Katie from "American Housewife" also is shopping on the phone picking out her own surprise for Mother's Day. Lena and Katie run into each other and admire what each has picked up. They decide to swap. JCPenney says you can do Mother's Day her way at its stores.
