Jordan Space Jam 11 TV Commercial, 'Defy the Monstars' Featuring Blake Griffin
Chicago Bulls player Jimmy Butler tells a story that's repeated through basketball history. The Monstars from 1996's "Space Jam" are back to causing trouble for ballers all over the galaxy, and the whole world can't help but take notice. All hope seems lost as the superteam challenges anyone who comes across its sign to play them, even a group of kids who just want their court back. But, as Butler points out, there's always a twist; this time, it manifests as a ramshackle Foot Locker run by none other than Bugs Bunny. "What up, jocks?" he quips before offering the crew everything they'll need to take on the Monstars, including Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin. "Who'd you expect? Elmer Fudd?" he inquires, reminiscent of Michael Jordan's 1992 Nike ad. The game is on: Griffin and company bust in on the Monstars and both teams charge at each other. Meanwhile, Butler finishes spray-painting "Defy" across the villains' propaganda. "I hate Monstars" he says before skating away.
