After a disciplinary hearing, corporal Megan Leavey is assigned an aggressive military combat dog named Rex in order to help improve the Marines' K9 unit. Despite a rocky start, the two create an inseparable bond that takes them through more than 100 completed missions in Iraq. However, an IED explosion leaves the duo critically injured and puts their future service on the line. "Megan Leavey," in theaters June 9, 2017, is rated PG-13.
