My Black is Beautiful and The Queen Collective want to help redefine the narrative about Black hair. Director Samantha Knowles was always raised to be proud of her hair so she wanted to create a documentary, "Tangled Roots," about Representative Attica Scott and her mission to end hair discrimination.
