U.S. Air Force Pararescuemen William H. Pitsenbarger (Jeremy Irvine) made history and enshrined himself in military legend after personally saving more than 60 men during the Vietnam War, in lieu of making an escape on the last helicopter out of a combat zone. Decades later, Pentagon staffer Scott Huffman (Sebastian Stan) investigates a request put in by Pitsenbarger's friends and family to award the fallen soldier the Medal of Honor, and in the process relives the true story of one hero's valiant sacrifice.
