Almost everyone knows of Keyboard Cat, the globally-recognized YouTube sensation. But did you know that Keyboard Cat is actually named Bento and was a shelter pet before his owner adopted him in 2010? Bento wanders around his house, eating next to his owner and patiently posing for a portrait as his owner explains that his feline buddy inspires his artwork and truly is his best friend. The Shelter Pet Project asks watchers to consider starting their own story by adopting an animal of their own.
