After a rescue mission in space goes awry and Jean Grey nearly loses her life after being exposed to a powerful, cosmic force, the X-Men soon discover that the powerful psychic that returned home with them is no longer the same. Grey's powers begin to grow out of her control and the instability causes her to lash out at the ones she loves most. Her transformation forces the X-Men to protect her from herself and unknown hostile entities who have taken interest in weaponizing the Phoenix. "Dark Phoenix," in theaters Jun. 7, 2019, is rated PG-13.
