GEICO TV Commercial, 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2: Groot and Gecko Team Up'

While the GEICO Gecko watches a showing of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" and eats popcorn in the theater, he has an epiphany. He knows that the Marvel hero team saves the galaxy and he also believes that GEICO saves people on money on their car insurance, so what would happen if the two teamed up? In a dream sequence, the tiny spokes-gecko runs down a hallway with the pint-sized Groot. The gecko knows his lines and tries to get the little tree superhero to finish GEICO's famous tagline, "15 Minutes Could Save You 15 Percent or More on Car Insurance." However, as moviegoers and Marvel fans know, Groot only says one thing: "I am Groot." So, the plan does not go too well. Perhaps the script will need some adjustment, but in the meantime GEICO encourages viewers to check out "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" when it hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
