This true story recounts the life of boxer Roberto Duran (Edgar Ramirez), from his 1968 debut at the age of 16 to his retirement at age 50. In 1980, under the tutelage of trainer Ray Arcel (Robert De Niro), he faces off twice against Sugar Ray Leonard (Usher Raymond) in pursuit of the WBC welterweight title.
