Decorated Army captain Joseph J. Blocker is tasked with transporting Yellow Hawk, a dying Cheyenne war chief, from Fort Berringer, New Mexico, to his tribal lands in Montana. Despite refusing the mission outright, Blocker is eventually coerced and embarks upon the journey across the harsh terrain of the 1892 American West. Joining the perilous trek is Rosalie Quaid, a widow whose family was killed by Comanches. On the way to their destination, the travelers must contend with enemy soldiers and an even more unforgiving landscape. Directed by Scott Cooper, "Hostiles" hits theaters Dec. 22, 2017 and is rated R.
