The Painter and the Thief TV Movie Trailer

When two of her paintings are stolen in broad daylight from a Norwegian gallery, Czech artist Barbora Kysilkova becomes fixated on locating the perpetrator. When the thief's identity is discovered, however, Kysilkova is shocked to find, not a monster, but a troubled, sympathetic man whose main desire is to be seen. As a new connection develops between the two, both must reassess how they view artistry and human nature. The documentary "The Painter and the Thief" comes out May 22, 2020.
